Every year, this Sunday in September is by far the most important of the year for our family business. We warmly invite everyone to come and discover everything (or almost everything) about our brewery and distillery.
What to Expect?
Tours
Distilling is a craft, requiring knowledge, experience, and a touch of mystery. Its secrets are shared with visitors for free during the Day of Agriculture. Manu passionately guides you through the world of beers and spirits. We visit the brewery and the distillery, and you can also taste some, of course. The tour is free, but due to the large turnout, it’s more limited than on a regular open Sunday. (A Full Tour&Tasting on a regular open Sunday lasts about 2 hours, and then we taste 2 beers and 4 to 5 distillates.) During our Open Distillery Day, the tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. We provide 5 to 6 tours that day. This way, everyone can join to learn and discover something new.
Drinks (and food)
You can enjoy a surprising cocktail, a delicious gueuze, and/or a wonderful stew with fries. Our new Brandy will also be on the menu, and you can already order the new batch of our whisky gueuze.
What about bad weather?
The bar, the terraces, the main hall… plenty of space, and if it rains, there’s also the tent, of course. So rain is no excuse not to come.
Atmosphere?
All of this with live music from Eddie in the background. Eddie has been coming to our Open Distillery Day for years and brings our classics: from The Scabs to Lou Reed to Bowie. Only on guitar, harmonica, and with his amazing voice.
Where?
Everything takes place at our distillery at Boekhoutstraat 20, 1670 Pepingen. For those from the region, that’s the old AVEVE site. There’s parking in front of the door and also on a (very large) grass field, definitely enough space.
When?
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, you are welcome from 10 AM to 7 PM. Reservations are not required as they are for a regular open Sunday; food and drinks are provided throughout the day.
But I can’t make it that day… 🙁
No problem, we are open every first Sunday of the month, and you can also mark October 18 and 19 in your calendar because you’re welcome at our 2nd Whisky Weekend then.
